Who We Are
Meet Everest Functional
Our mission is to provide compassionate, personalized care that honors the deep connection between the mind and body. We believe true healing happens when the whole person is supported — not just symptoms treated.
Guided by the understanding that every individual has unique experiences, goals, and health needs, we work closely with each patient to create thoughtful, forward-thinking care plans that reflect the full complexity of who they are. We believe in empowering patients to be active participants in their healing process—equipping you with the knowledge, tools, and support to take ownership of your health and move forward with confidence.
Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, we focus on identifying and treating the root causes of illness. Through our specialization in the brain-body connection — including the critical roles of gut health and systemic inflammation in mental wellness — we aim to restore balance and promote lasting wellbeing.
In a fragmented healthcare system, our mission is to be a steady, integrative partner in your care. We believe meaningful transformation happens through a holistic, collaborative approach and small, sustainable changes that support long-term health.
What makes us different?
At Everest Functional Psychiatry & Wellness, people always come first. We believe every patient deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported in a way that honors their full story — not just a list of symptoms.
We value a thoughtful, personalized approach to care. No two individuals are the same, which is why we take the time to truly listen, ask deeper questions, and develop care plans that reflect each person’s unique health history, goals, and life experiences.
We are deeply committed to root-cause healing. Rather than focusing only on symptom management, we work to understand the underlying factors that may be contributing to mental and physical health concerns. By exploring the brain-body connection — including gut health, inflammation, lifestyle, and environmental influences — we aim to create a more complete path toward healing.
Above all, we believe meaningful change happens through partnership. Healing is a collaborative process, and we walk alongside our patients with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that small, sustainable changes can lead to lasting transformation.
How Everest Functional Psychiatry & Wellness Began
Everest Functional Psychiatry & Wellness was founded out of a deep desire to care for patients in a more thoughtful, comprehensive way and actually restore health instead of just putting a bandaid on symptoms. After years of working within traditional healthcare systems, our founder saw firsthand how often health care, especially when it came to mental health, focused on managing symptoms rather than understanding the full picture of a person’s health.
Recognizing the powerful connection between the brain and the body, Everest pursued additional training in functional medicine to better understand how factors such as gut health, inflammation, nutrition, hormones, sleep, and lifestyle influence mental and physical wellbeing. This expanded approach made it possible to look beyond just diagnoses and prescriptions and instead address the root causes using both (italicize this) conventional and alternative interventions.
Functional medicine is “root cause” medicine. It looks at the whole person as an individual to identify and address the underlying causes of symptoms, rather than simply managing them. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, functional medicine considers the full picture of health — including gut function, hormones, inflammation, metabolism, immune health, toxin exposure, lifestyle, and cellular function. Through a personalized, multimodal approach, we aim to support true healing and help patients restore balance, optimize their health, and improve overall well-being.
